The program replaces the traditional pencil-and-graph-paper, with an on-screen display that echoes the familiar grid and colors.
Using the mouse to select colors from a set of DMC, Anchor, Madeira, or other floss types, you can draw full half, or back stitches straight onto the grid, just like the pencil and paper.
Normally, you will work on screen in color, but the biggest way the program scores over paper, is at the time when you need to turn the design into a chart of symbols.
